The history of Fralía Cacau Brasil began even before its foundation, in 1995, when the founding family managed a candy and confectionery factory in João Monlevade, Minas Gerais. During this period, we learned the importance of a solid and direct relationship with suppliers, which inspired us to seek new ways of doing business. Faced with difficulties, we saw an opportunity: to simplify dialogue and strengthen the cocoa supply chain. It was on January 5, 2005, that Imperial was born, located in São Gonçalo do Rio Abaixo, Minas Gerais, a pioneering company that, for more than a decade, taught us everything about the world of cocoa.

In 2016, guided by an ambitious business plan, we took the next big step: we became Fralía Cacau Brasil. Since then, we have become a national reference in the cocoa semi-processed segment, offering high-quality cocoa powder and cocoa butter to partners and industries in Brazil and around the world. Our focus is on consultative service and building strong partnerships that transform businesses and drive the market forward.
Achievements that open global doors.
Focused on this, in 2023 we achieved OEA (Authorized Economic Operator) certification. Fralía is a symbol of safety and reliability for global partners. We are building bridges with international markets, bringing Brazilian quality to the world. The following year, in 2024, we inaugurated our new commercial office in Belo Horizonte, further enhancing our service and contact with customers, suppliers, and partners.
Growth Driven by Innovation.
Headquartered in Minas Gerais, we remain committed to regional and national development. Our new factory, under construction in São Gonçalo do Rio Abaixo, will triple our production capacity, reaching 1,000 tons per month in an area of 10,000 m². This project, made possible by incentives from the Prospera+ program in partnership with the city hall, strengthens our mission to modernize operations, create jobs, and meet future challenges.
Commitment to local production.
We also support local production chains, with a special focus on the Jaíba Project, which strengthens cacao production in Janaúba, Jaíba, and Matias Cardoso, Minas Gerais. Our commitment is to be a company that transforms not only cacao but also stories and markets.
